This year has been a huge one for Norwich based rapper, producer and songwriter COLL. Stemming from his first 2021 release ‘L8 Nights’, an anthem designed for the determined, he swiftly followed this with the fun, quirky and equally as catchy second single ‘Who’s That’. Showcasing his ever growing versatility as an artist, this new twist created an even deeper connection with his incredibly supportive fans.
Now, as if planned to perfection, the moment we have all been waiting for as COLL prepares to unveil his eagerly anticipated third and final mixtape of the series ‘Blue Magic 3’. A fully formed, carefully cultivated project, this new mixtape contains 10 tracks and is overflowing with exciting and innovative collaborations. A mix of singles and interludes, COLL takes us back to the classic days of ‘the mixtape’ without skimping on any of that juicy quality. A project that effortlessly flows from one tune to the other, yet still treats listeners to a whole new flavour with each passing song.
“ ‘Coldest Winter’ features Sleep’s Cousin, another artist from the /east of England who is making big waves. I respected his work ethic and when we linked up in the studio we made a song we were both happy with after just 2 hours. When I had produced the beat I had to re-write my verse after I heard what Sleep’s had done. He clearly wasn’t playing around that day and It’s always good to be kept on your toes. We both went in, no mercy.” – COLL
Each mixtape shares a snippet in time, a small window into COLL’s winding and vast artistic journey which now culminates in one final chapter, one last piece of the puzzle, the end of an incredible body of work, COLL presents ‘Blue Magic 3’.
“I made BM3 with the sole purpose of collaborating with other people I respect and I wanted it to be fun and something you can listen to on repeat. It’s my third mixtape and I feel very blessed to have come this far and to have worked with so many talented people along the way. This is the final one in the Blue Magic series so I hope you enjoy it.” – COLL
