Entitled “The It Girl”, the Tucker Martine produced track (First Aid Kit, The Decemberists) details Zaragoza’s personal struggles with love and acceptance as a multicultural brown woman due to society’s western expectations of women. The funk fueled indie rock tune is her outcry for diverse representation in the media.
