Monique Angele is a Canadian singer/songwriter who has performed across Canada, Australia, and London. She started out as an opera singer, but with her elegant piano melodies and stunning vocals, Monique fearlessly got into the world of pop music with her newest album, Alive.
“I was inspired to release this album because I wanted to create something that pushed the boundaries in regards to songwriting, production and subject matter,” says Monique. “I believe each song dives into the raw emotions and passions of what it feels like to be “alive,” and shows to not be afraid to express oneself fully. The songs range from ethereal bliss, political change, depression and love.”
Listening to her latest single, “I Want A World”, you hear a lot of political commentary and lyrics about wanting a peaceful world. With lyrics like, “I want a world where people are kind / I want a world with a compassion of mine,” and “Hearts full of love are never wrong,” you can tell the kind of person that Monique is and we absolutely LOVE IT. Love will always win over hate, and we believe that’s such an important message to share. So thank you Monique for spreading so much love in the world through your music.
You can find “I Want A World” on her new album, Alive, which will be released in September of 2018. Listening to the album, you’ll hear a mix of modern pop, classical, and soul elements along with a bunch of powerful lyrical content, such as love, self-reflection, hope, and human rights. (Of course <3) So if you love music with deep meaning and/or artists like Kate Bush and Evanescence, you should definitely check out this album!
