Lauren Waller is the pop artist based in Los Angeles, who just released her 80’s inspired synthpop single “Lift You Up.”
“Lift You Up” carries the energy and sounds of the 80’s. It’s very much a feel good pop song that you won’t be able to stay away from. “Lift You Up” modernizes the sound while still evoking the reminiscent feel of the 80s. “It’s about love that is fun, happy, and lighthearted. I hope that Lift You Up sparks a familiar feeling in listeners, whether that be nostalgia for the past or the joy of a current love<” shares Lauren.
Lauren’s music bridges the gap between contemporary electro-pop and the dark wave of the 80’s. Her lyrics are emotive and encompasses the confessional and poetic intimacy of the singer-songwriter idiom and the thrilling satisfaction of modern pop. Her soulful pop has earned her favorable comparisons to Lorde, Regina Spektor, Sara Bareilles, and Ingrid Michaelson.
To date, Lauren has released two EPs, performed on RTE, Ireland’s National Television, at the International Rose of Tralee Festival, and made appearances at the Viper Room and the Hotel Café, and opened for greats like Wilson Philips, Anna Nalick, A Flock of Seagulls, and most recently: Tower of Power.
