Katie Kittermaster is stunning fans all over the country at the moment, on tour with Lucy Spraggan. She is set to then move onto the rest of Europe where she will, no doubt, win over many more fans. These tour dates are in advance of her wonderfully cosy debut EP, Coming Home at Dawn.

Kittermaster is an impressive new voice in the singer-songwriter world, whose achievements are made all the more jaw-dropping when considering her modest years. What other 17-year-old can boast that they’ve opened for Jools Holland? That they have secured sponsorship deals with both Roland keyboards and Taylor guitars? Won both the Commonwealth Song of the Year and the UK Songwriting Contest in the same year?

She’s one to watch, that’s for sure. Her performances with X Factor sensation Lucy Spraggan have been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback, and praise especially for the confident and self-assured way she presents herself onstage – something surely enviable for the rest of her peer group who have also just finished their A-Levels.

Coming Home at Dawn is a beautiful meditation on the world of romance, written from the perspective of someone experiencing it all for the very first time. It includes some remarkably astute and honest lyrical moments which no doubt will find their way into the journals and onto the social media feeds of her young listeners, grateful to have someone put these strange new emotions into words.
