Eric Anders is a singer/songwriter from California who got into writing and recording songs in his late thirties. On April 20th Eric released his ten-song anti-Trump album, Eleven Nine.
All processed from the album go to Lambda Legal, which is the oldest and largest national legal organization “whose mission is to achieve full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.”
“Our nation is facing an extremist takeover by people who don’t believe in the fundamental rights of LGBT people and people living with HIV. Lambda Legal knows how to hold the line when civil rights are under attack. Founded in 1973, Lambda Legal knows how to fight the government in the courts when the other branches are hostile, having successfully done so in the past.” – Lambda Legal
Eric wrote the tracks for the album in the spring of 2017 as Trump was being revealed as the “crook” and “traitor” that he is. He wrote the album about the resistance that will have to continue after this misogynist, homophobic, criminal, traitorous, racist imbecile has been exposed for what he is and appropriately jailed. He hopes that Eleven Nine will be a big part of this resistance, and that its success will benefit the people at Lambda Legal.
Unfortunately, Eric’s revolution will not be licensed through publishing companies. Due to that, the tracks off of Eleven Nine will also not be played on the radio. “It seems that even the mega-artists can’t go against their publishing companies’ profit-motivated wishes.”
