DEAR-GOD is the musical project of 22-year-old artist Robert Ortiz. With a self-produced vision that incorporates punk, hardcore and industrial sounds with rap cadences into something truly singular, DEAR-GOD occupies a unique and exciting space. The release of his 2020 debut EP, 1-844-4DEAR-GOD, saw him named as one of NME’s 100 Artists to watch in 2021.

Following the release of 1-844-4DEAR-GOD on Terrible Records, DEAR-GOD partnered with Dine Alone Records for the release of his first LP, which is expected in early 2023. First single, “The Dungeon,” was co-produced by Lecx Stacey and features fellow Brampton artist and frequent collaborator DoFlame.

“The Dungeon” was inspired by DEAR-GOD and DoFlame’s experiences in Los Angeles post pandemic. It’s about circumstances and reflection. Having to survive and watch your step in a capitalist dystopia where people are on the prowl to eat. “The Dungeon” is where you accept defeat and succumb to the world around you.
