“Deliver Me” is the brand new single from Baltimore based singer-songwriter Chris Pastore. An acoustic song, with a strong chorus, this soul filled track delivers a message of hope in the midst of uncertainty.
Pastore explains that the song was with him for years before actually finishing writing it. When 2020 hit, suddenly it just made sense to bring the emotions and lyrics together. “Bringing the song idea into the studio brought it to life layering melody and rhythm to a story that acts as a musical hug to listeners who have found themselves somewhat in the dark. It’s a reminder that we have all been through moments of utter weakness and helplessness, and although it can be difficult, nightmares must be confronted, consequences must be faced, and there is a path forward.”
As the song unfolds from a light acoustic guitar melody, it builds melodically and ends with a larger, more orchestral sound. “Say it isn’t so …. Deliver me” is a catchy, soul filled and memorable chorus, and Pastore’s vocals are reminiscent of other vocal greats like John Mayer. “For me, songwriting is a constant, a daily routine, interactions, daydreams, struggles and jubilation, love, fate and sometimes just a good hook and a solid groove,” says Pastore.

Writing and recording for some 25 years and playing with various bands in the northeast USA, Pastore toured with “Fat Apple” in the late 1990’s and studied and performed with various jazz and blue artists. “Turn The Music Up Loud” is his first solo album in more than 10 years, and was carefully created together and recorded at Wrightway Studios. “this album has far surpassed all of my expectations and invigorated my passion for songwriting and performance.”
“Turn the Music Up Loud” is a compilation of unrecorded old songs that Pastore has recorded over the years, together with some new songs he has written with friends. “Deliver Me” does not disappoint. Be sure to listen to it and Pastore’s new album, coming soon.
