Ben Harold & The Rising have released a new album called “These Days”, which was released at the end of 2021.
Milwaukee based band Ben Harold & The Rising have often been compared to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers as well as Counting Crows, with their meaningful lyrics and innovation in both sound and passion. This comes through in all of the tracks on their new album.
They are also well known for their honest approach in style, with live shows that bring both energy and warmth.
“‘What’s Done is Done’ is about moving on from the pull to regret things you couldn’t control. Changing things makes you feel better but it is more of a band-aid than an actual fix. This song was written to say what’s in the past is over and that we are best to see it, acknowledge it, let it inform us, and move on as better people. Those who refuse to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it so let’s see our mistakes, acknowledge them, make amends, and become better.“
Their style of Americana Alternative Rock is really outstanding; “Just A Ghost” is a stand out track, not least for its guitar intro. “I Am Weak” has a more rock feel, with piano harmonies and a more dynamic percussion ensemble. “Walk Away” is a melancholic ballad with very thoughtful lyricism and subtle harmonies.
Whether playing solo, or with The Rising, Harold is known for well crafting his songwriting and being able to connect with the audience he is playing for as well.
We are definitely looking forward to more releases from Ben Harold & The Rising, and wish them all the success with this fiery and soulful album.
